Evie was bred by Bonnie Nichols of Nickolai Borzoi. Bonnie was a dear friend and mentor, and left us much
too soon. She bred her Amber to my Nico in April of 2011. In June, the Winds litter was born. In August,
Bonnie passed away unexpectedly. Her friends in the borzoi community worked together to ensure all her
beloved dogs had homes! I had responsibility for placing the puppies sired by my dog.
Hallie corresponded with Bonnie for years about borzoi, but the time was never quite right. Finally, she felt able
to get the borzoi she had always wanted, and seeing that Bonnie had a new litter, sent her an email. Sadly,
Bonnie didn't get to reply. When Hallie realized what had happened, she got in touch. She saw puppy photos
and fell in love with the pretty little spotted girl. She came to meet Evie and the rest, as they say, was history.
Evie is DM cleared by parentage.
