Tempest was bred by Bonnie Nichols of Nickolai Borzoi. Bonnie was a dear friend and mentor, and left us much too soon. She bred her Amber to my Nico in April of 2011. In June, the Winds litter was born. In August, Bonnie passed away unexpectedly. Her friends in the borzoi community worked together to ensure all her beloved dogs had homes! I had responsibility for placing the puppies sired by my dog.
Tempest went to Canada to live with Megan Thompson, and cousin Riata. When Megan emailed me about a puppy from this litter, I asked Marilyn if Bonnie had ever mentioned her. It turns out she had! Bonnie was thrilled with the wonderful home Megan had provided Riata. We knew right away that Megan should get one of these special puppies! Vanessa Johnson of Shuttle Pet picked her up and drove her to Canada. Tempest was shown at the 2012 Nationals, and with success in Canada, where she received her conformation championship.
Tempest is DM cleared by parentage.
